SUBJECT: Call for attention

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Bosnia and Herzegovina business community we want to inform you about disaster that flooding has caused to overall economy of BiH, destroying capacities, taking away cattle, arable land, goods. Many of production capacities, together with finished goods ready to deliver, completely disappeared.

Majority of the country has no electricity, drinking water. Companies outside the affected areas are trying to give their support in every sense.

Governments of foreign countries, humanitarian and organizations and other institutions have been giving their support in manpower, food and other supplies.

Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH has started the evaluation of damages that our member companies have suffered so far. Evidently, damages will be enormous and it will take time to come to exact figures.

By this letter we want to ask for your attention and full understanding of the situation in the BH economy.

Any kind of your support, advise, recommendation, and concrete help is more than welcome.

We hope that the foreign partners of the BH companies in your respected countries will show solidarity and understanding for their counterparts in BiH. In this respect, we invite your members to be included into the recovery and reconstruction of our facilities. For further details please contact Office of the President and Vice-presidents.
